All roads lead to the Sanc Kingdom as the battle escalates between human warriors who follow a samurai-style code of honor and the Romefeller Foundation's attempt to use "mechanical dolls" (pilotless robots) to control Earth and Space. Treize Khushrenada, the leader of OZ, Romefeller's military arm, breaks with his superiors, declaring, "I think fighting in wars can indeed be beautiful." Gundam pilots Heero and Quatre return to Earth. Quartre is increasingly uncertain about his role in a world of rapidly shifting allegiances, but Heero assists the rebel "Treize Faction" of OZ. After a series of verbal and physical battles, the two pilots find themselves heading for the pacifist Sanc Kingdom. Lieutenant Lucretia Noin and Sally Po--who hadn't been seen for several episodes--recapture one of the surviving Gundams from OZ forces and take it to the Sanc Kingdom, now ruled by Relena Peacecraft. But Relena faces a new threat from Dorothy Catalonia, a blonde with double eyebrows, who may be the daughter of Duke Dermail, the head of the Romefeller Foundation. Director Masashi Ikeda manages to cram a lot of action into the story, even though episodes 27 and 28 consist almost entirely of flashbacks. Rated 13 and up for occasional profanity and robot versus robot violence. --Charles Solomon

Description
Hearing of Treize's confinement, Oz soldiers calling themsleves the Treize Faction enter the war against the Romefeller Foundation. Seeing the Gundam pilots as symbols of opposition, the Foundation begins the operation to eliminate the pilots. Without time to rest, Heero heads to gather information for his next battle when he hears of the Sanc Kingdom, Relena's home country. Acting as mercenaries for the Treize Faction, Heero and Quatre decide to stay in the Sanc Kingdom, where Relena promotes peace and pacifism. Angered by the pacifist nations, the Romefeller Foundation attacks the Sanc Kingdom - the Gundam pilots are thus called into battle once again.

5 out of 5 stars The saga continues.... SUIT UP !   April 17, 2001

This DVD continues the saga established in the previous five discs with everyone's favorite fine young Gundanium mecha pilots still struggling to find peace, themselves, happiness and a place in the ever changing world After Colony 195. As with any serialized program like Gundam Wing, it is rather important for the viewer to have some (or a lot) of knowledge about the current state of affairs in the series prior to viewing this disc or a serious case of "WHAT?" could result.

For those who have followed (adored, craved, idolized, etc.) the exploits of the five shooting stars, this disc moves along pretty well with the exception of episode 27 (The Locus of Victory and Defeat) which pretty much just recaps the previous 26 episodes with Relena narrating. This is a necessary vehicle in serialized stuff like this and it is handled pretty well here. Lots of action and intrigue including some fairly juicy political shenanigans with Trez and all his friends and enemies. Not quite as heavy on the combat as some of the previous DVDs but lots of tasty close up fighting between prototypes and many serious explosions.

The DVD transfer and encoding on these discs is pretty good with only minor minor glitches such as slight frame repeat/jump following menu item selection. Extras are pretty basic, just like the other discs, with pilot and mecha information that you could easily grab up from a web site or something similar.... Given the volume of production work and prototype drawings generated with all anime it seems sort of a shame to not include these on the DVDs especially since BanDai is making the digitally spoiled amongst us wait for the discs while the VHS folks will have all the episodes sixty days sooner.

My copy of Endless Waltz is still sealed and awaiting the last "episode" DVD to be released. !3x4/4x3!

5 out of 5 stars Watch The New Mobile Suites Go Crazy   February 14, 2001

Watch Wufei, Quatra, & Duo go nutty in their new and improved mobile suits. Witness as OZ & Romafella feel the distructive powers of Wing Zero. The disc is pure pleasure.

4 out of 5 stars not he best dvd in the series   April 11, 2001

This DVD features episodes 26-30 Nothing much really happened in these episodes, as these episodes are nothing more than recaps of what happened in the other 25. I love gundam wing, however i won't recommend this if this is your first gundam dvd, because you're not knowing what gundam really is about (despite its review material.) Nothing is better than DVD 4, and DVD 5 which features superior gundams, and well a thicker plot line. If you like gundam, or are so so about them... you should get this dvd. It will definetly clear up some of the plot lines in which you were watching and wasn't sure about in the last 5 DVDs.

The DVD still feautres great graphics (perhaps even the best parts of the series so far, in review form) and audio of both english and japanese!! If you like anime, you should watch Gundam Wing, and this DVD still is wonderful for the series (despite its mostly review material.)

4 out of 5 stars Reunion with Relena   May 26, 2002

Nothing important happens in the 5 espiodes on this DVD. This DVD does however introduces a new character: Dorothy who is studying at the Sanc Kingdom with Relena as the head of the kingdom. At the end of the DVD, Heero and Quarte are with Relena in the Sanc Kingdom. The other espiodes are just recaps of what happened before. Not the best gundam wing DVD, but why not buy the whole series?
